Airport pickup for an onward ferry

Start at JTR, Santorini's airport, and tell KC Travel that you are connecting to a scheduled ferry at Athinios. Airport and port are separate arrival points on the island.

Use the confirmed airport arrivals meeting point. The terminal may be busy when flights arrive, and the designated vehicle stop should be verified for your own booking.

Provide flight information, passenger numbers, luggage count and your ferry operator and departure details. This allows the request to be assessed as a connection rather than a hotel transfer.

Allow for variable road conditions and check the ferry operator's current check-in guidance independently. No road journey can guarantee a ferry connection; ask for a route quote and discuss the requested schedule before relying on it.

Athinios is the scheduled ferry port

Athinios, also called the New Port, is Santorini's working harbour for scheduled ferry services. It is not the Old Port below Fira, where cruise passengers generally arrive by tender.

The port is reached by a road descending the caldera side. Ferry activity can concentrate passengers and vehicles around arrivals and departures, so the drop-off point and timing should be agreed with the operator for the sailing.

Check the ferry company's terminal and boarding instructions, and keep tickets and departure information accessible. KC Travel provides transport only when agreed; ferry tickets, check-in and boarding remain with the traveller and ferry operator.

Athinios access and vehicle flow may vary during busy ferry periods. A transfer request does not guarantee a particular drop-off position or that a vessel will wait for a delayed road journey.

Frequently asked questions

Does this route go to the cruise Old Port?

No. It ends at Athinios, the scheduled ferry port. Cruise tenders use the Old Port below Fira, which is a different location and access arrangement.

Will the driver make sure I catch my ferry?

No transfer can guarantee a ferry connection. Share your sailing and desired schedule for review, and independently follow the ferry operator's check-in requirements.

Are ferry tickets part of the transfer?

No. A road transfer request does not include a ferry ticket, check-in or boarding service.
